Women's Tennis Drops Road Match at Old Dominion

NORFOLK, Va. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team finished up their spring break trip in Virginia Monday afternoon, falling to Old Dominion 5-1 on the road.

The Monarchs claimed the doubles point, with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 to take a 1-0 lead in the early going. In singles, ODU won at No. 2 and No. 1 to go up 3-0 before senior Tracy Kuhle put the Broncos on the board with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 3. Kuhle improved to 11-10 and 6-6 in the spring with the win. The Monarchs claimed wins at No. 6 and No. 5 to go up 5-1 and senior Barbare Eristavi's match was abandoned as she was up one set.

The Broncos are off for the rest of the week and travel to Bradley on Saturday, March 18 at 1 p.m. before MAC play begins with a home match against Ball State on Friday, March 24 at noon.
