KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan men's and women's basketball teams will host first round Mid-American Conference Tournament games on Monday, March 6. Both teams will battle the Miami RedHawks for a chance to advance to Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The women tip off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's contest at 7:30 p.m.

The Western Michigan men's team clinched a share of the MAC West title with an 88-80 victory over Central Michigan on Saturday. The Broncos will be going for their ninth-straight win on Monday. Tickets to the men's contest start at only $9.

The WMU women (17-12, 8-10 MAC) are the No. 8 seed while the RedHawk women (11-20, 5-13 MAC) are the No. 9 seed. The WMU men (15-15, 11-7 MAC) are the No. 5 seed. The Miami men (11-20, 4-14 MAC) are the No. 12 seed.
