Western Michigan has secured its spot as the  No. 8 seed in the MAC Tournament, as the Broncos cannot catch Buffalo at No. 7 and can't be caught by Bowling Green and Miami. WMU will host the winner of Bowling Green vs. Miami on Monday, March 6 at University Arena.Â
MOBLEY BEING MOBLEY
Sophomore forward
Breanna Mobley has had back-to-back double-doubles and three in her last four games. Last time out against Central Michigan, she went for 19 points and 11 rebounds after scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds at Toledo. She is the team's leader in scoring (14.5 ppg), rebounding (9.9 rpg) and field-goal percentage (.570).Â
SHIPMAN'S SHOOTING STREAK
Senior
Meredith Shipman has been hot as of late, hitting multiple 3-pointers in 13 straight games and 21 games this season. She is now fourth in career 3-pointers made at WMU (169) and is chasing Shelsea Erving (2011-14) for third place with 190. Shipman will honored for her stellar career at Western Michigan following the game with the Huskies on Saturday.
THE MATCHUP
WMU holds a 35-23 lead in the all-time series with the Huskies and is 21-7 in University Arena. Before a loss in the regular season finale last season, the Broncos had won three straight and five of six at home against NIU. In the early meeting this season, the Broncos fell 67-62 in DeKalb after holding the Huskies 22 points below their scoring average. Sophomore

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Northern Illinois, who is coached by Lisa Carlsen in her second season, comes in at 19-9 overall, 12-5 in the MAC and 9-4 on the road this season. The Huskies have lost three of their last four games, including a 79-75 loss at home against Toledo in their last time out. NIU has six players scoring over 9.0 points per game, including senior Ally Lehman, who averages 18.5 ppg, 10.1 rpg and 6.5 apg. Courtney Woods scores 16.9 ppg and Cassidy Glenn averages 14.8 to round out the top-three.Â
