KALAMAZOO, Mich. – With the conclusion of the 2016-17 Western Michigan women's basketball season, we'll take a look back at some of the records and facts about the Broncos' season.

WMU finished 19-13 overall, 8-10 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and made a trip to the MAC Tournament Semifinals for the first time since 2003 after upsetting top-seeded Central Michigan in the Quarterfinals. The team went on a 10-game winning streak in the nonconference season and into MAC play, the fourth longest winning streak the program has ever seen and longest in the last 20 years. Head coach Shane Clipfell, who just finished his fifth season, has led the Broncos to three straight winning seasons, which hasn't happened in over 10 seasons. WMU has made the MAC Tournament Quarterfinals in each of Clipfell's first five seasons.
Following the season, sophomore standout Breanna Mobley was named to the All-MAC Tournament team and Third Team All-MAC, Meredith Shipman was named Third Team All-MAC and Deja Wimby was named to the All-MAC Defensive Team.
As a team, WMU scored the sixth most points in school history (2207) and had the sixth most field goals made (823). The team also tied for the seventh highest free-throw percentage (.718) and tied for the 10th most free-throws made (417).
Shipman's name can now be found all over the Bronco record book. In a career, Shipman is tied for the third highest free-throw percentage (.814), fourth in 3-pointers made (177), ninth in 3-point field goal percentage (.348), 11th in assists (285) and 13th in steals (159). For a single season, she tied for second for the most 3-pointers made (77), had the eighth highest free-throw percentage (.833) and tied for the eighth most steals (76). She also holds the record for 3-pointers made in a single game with nine.
Also in the record book, Mobley broke the 39-year old single season rebounding record (307) previously held by Pat Charity. She also had the fourth highest field-goal percentage (.569) for a single season. In a single season, Wimby finished sixth for the most steals (86), ninth for the most assists (165) and tied-10th for the most free-throws made (114). Marley Hill also had the ninth most blocks in a season (34).
