For the second time in the past four seasons the Western Michigan hockey team is heading to Minneapolis, Minn., for the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Frozen Faceoff at the Target Center. The Broncos will take on the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs on Friday at 5:08 p.m. ET. The Championship game will be played on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET, while the consolation game will be played at 3:30 p.m. ET.Â

FAN EVENTS
Along with the hockey games, the popular NCHC Fan Fest will once again be held near Target Center prior to the games. Fan Fest will feature some of Minneapolis' best food vendors, drinks, live music and interactive games to get people excited prior to the games in Target Center. Admission is free to Fan Fest.
In addition, an official NCHC Post-Game Party with drink and appetizer specials will also take place after the games each night at The Pint, which is less than two blocks from Target Center. Other events surrounding the NCHC Frozen Faceoff include an NCHC Fan Skate, presented by Sports Minneapolis, on Thursday, March 16, which is free to the public and takes place on the ice at Target Center, as well as the NCHC Awards Celebration on the evening of March 16.Â
