KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team will have a chance to knock off a nationally-ranked opponents Sunday, as the Broncos face No. 49 Drake on a neutral court in East Lansing with match time slated for 9 a.m.

The Broncos will come into the match at 7-5 overall and have won their last three matches while the Bulldogs come in at 7-7 overall following a loss to Michigan on Friday. Drake also has the No. 48 ranked singles player in the Oracle/ITA Rankings with Vinny Gillespie.
For the Broncos, the doubles team of Kennosuke Nouchi/Daniel Loebel made their debut in the National Rankings at No. 76. The two are 7-5 this season including a perfect 3-0 mark at No. 2. They have one extremely prestigious win on their resume, as the duo defeated the No. 8 ranked doubles team in the nation of Charlie Emhardt/Jeffrey Schorsch of Valparaiso. The duo of Billy Heckman/Nick Schnobel lead the team in wins with a 10-6 overall record.
In singles play, senior Matt Hamilton leads the team this spring, boasting a 10-2 record in dual matches and he's won his last six matches. Jannik Opitz leads the team overall with a 19-6 record while Eric Olivarez is 18-5 and Nouchi/Matej Svjetlicic are 15-7.
Following the match with Drake, the Broncos will host two straight before MAC play begins, first welcoming Wright State on Sunday, March 19 at 11 a.m. and then facing Grand Valley State on Monday, March 20 at 1:30 p.m.
