Last week, WMU earned a 6-1 road win over the Cardinals of Illinois State, improving the team to 6-5 overall. Cleveland State is 5-6 overall, but has a match to play against Xavier on Thursday.

This season, the Broncos, who hold a 3-2 record at home, are led by the doubles team of Billy Heckman/Nick Schnobel, who boast a 10-6 overall record and led the team in wins. The duo of Matt Hamilton/Jannik Opitz are 5-0 together this season, all of which have come in the spring season.

In singles play, Opitz leads the team with a 19-5 overall record, but Hamilton is 15-6 overall, 9-2 in the spring and is on a five-match winning streak. Eric Olivarez is 17-5 overall, 7-1 in the spring and has also won his last five matches.

Following this match with Cleveland State, the Broncos have two more nonconference matches before the seven-match Mid-American Conference (MAC) season gets started with Ball State on Friday, March 24 at 3 p.m. (outside) or 5 p.m. (inside).
