The season begins with the first of two straight "Power Five" opponents when the Broncos go to USC on Sept. 2. The Broncos will head to Lansing to take on Michigan State, seven days later on Sept. 9.
Western Michigan then starts a three-game home stand on Saturday, Sept. 16 with CommUniverCity against Idaho. The Broncos close out the non-conference schedule on Sept. 23 vs. Wagner.
MAC play begins Sept. 30 vs. Ball State, who the Broncos have defeated the last three seasons including a 52-20 game last year, when wide receiver
