BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Western Michigan gymnastics team had the fourth-highest score in program history on Sunday, totaling 195.575 in its win at Bowling Green.
Sophomore Katie Jennings won the floor title, scoring a career-high 9.850. It was one of three events the Broncos earned individual titles on during the meet, along with bars and all-around.
Fellow sophomore Rachael Underwood won the bars with a 9.825 and shared the floor title with Jennings, also scoring a 9.850. Senior Anna Corbett won the all-around title with a 38.950, scoring a 9.750 or higher in three of her four events.
Senior Brittany Aragon had her personal-best on vault with a 9.825, en route to the Broncos having their best score of the year in that event with a 48.850. Underwood tied her season-high on vault with a 9.825.
Western Michigan scored its highest team total in any event this season on balance beam where it had a 48.925. The Broncos also had its second best event score of the year, scoring a 48.900 on both bars and floor.
The Broncos will next be in action back at University Arena on Feb. 12, at 1 p.m. vs. Northern Illinois.
