BRONCOS CLINCH HOME COURT
Western Michigan has secured its spot as the  No. 8 seed in the MAC Tournament, as the Broncos cannot catch Buffalo at No. 7 and can't be caught by Bowling Green and Miami. WMU will host either Bowling Green or Miami on Monday, March 6 at University Arena.

PICK YOUR POCKET
The Broncos lead the MAC in steals at 9.8 per game and boast the top-two players in the conference individually. Senior Meredith Shipman (2.9) and sophomore Deja Wimby (2.8) come in ranked one and two in the league. The two have combined for 26 games where at least one of the two have had at least three steals.

HAVE A WEEK, WIMBY
Sophomore point guard Deja Wimby had the best week of her young career offensively last week, where she set a new career-high in points then proceeded to break it again in the next game. At home against Ball State, she finished with a then career-high 24 points, but went on the road at Toledo and set her new career-high with 25 points. She's now scored 20+ points in three of the last four games.

SHIPMAN'S SHOOTING STREAK
Senior Meredith Shipman has been hot as of late, hitting multiple 3-pointers in 12 straight games and 20 games this season. She is now fourth in career 3-pointers made at WMU (166) and is chasing Shelsea Erving (2011-14) for third place with 190. In MAC play, she is tied for fifth in 3-pointers made (44) and 11th in 3-point field goal percentage (.376).

THE MATCHUP
CMU holds a tight 50-49 advantage in the all-time series and has owned the recent history, winning the last four matchups and 16 of the last 19 overall. The Broncos are 24-21 when playing at University Arena but the Chippewas have won five of the last six. CMU knocked WMU out of the MAC Tournament last season, while the Broncos knocked the Chippewas out in 2015. CMU won the earlier matchup this season 94-83, where sophomore Breanna Mobley had a big game, going for 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting.

SCOUTING THE CHIPPEWAS
Central Michigan, who is coached by 10th year head coach Sue Guevara, enters this game with a 21-7 overall record and is 13-3 in the MAC and 5-6 on the road this season. The Chips feature four players scoring in double-figures, led by sophomore Presley Hudson (17.7) and senior Tinara Moore (15.9). Cassie Breens scores 14.2 ppg and Jewel Cotton averages 11.2 while Reyna Frost comes in as the MAC's leading rebounder (10.9 rpg).
