KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team will head to Normal, Ill., facing Missouri Valley foe Illinois State on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m.

The Broncos enter Saturday's matchup at 5-5 overall and are coming off a 1-2 home weekend falling to Michigan State (4-3) and Valparaiso (4-3) while picking up a perfect 7-0 victory against Wayne State. Illinois State comes into the weekend at 4-7 overall having dropped their last four matches, which have all been on the road.
Senior Matt Hamilton comes in with the best record in the spring at 8-2. Freshman Jannik Opitz is 18-5 overall and 6-4 Â in the spring while sophomore Eric Olivarez holds a 16-5 overall and 6-1 record this spring. Â
In doubles play, the duo of junior Billy Heckman/sophomore Nick Schnobel are 10-5 overall. Senior Daniel Loebel/freshman Kennosuke Nouchi are 7-5 overall while Hamilton/Opitz hold a perfect 4-0 record this spring.
Following Saturday's contest, the Broncos will return home, welcoming Cleveland State on Friday, March 3 at 3 p.m. at West Hills Athletic Club before traveling to Drake on Sunday, March 12 at 9 a.m.Â
