KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Head football coach Tim Lester will perform the honorary first serve as the Western Michigan women's tennis team will battle B1G Michigan State on Friday, Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. at West Hills Athletic Club where admission to all home tennis matches is free of charge.

The Broncos come into this contest with a 5-4 record, but dropped both matches last time the team played, first against No. 48 ranked Iowa and second against Marquette, both 4-3. Michigan State enters at 8-1 this season with the lone loss coming against No. 8 Auburn.
Senior Barbare Eristavi and sophomore Melina Lyubomirova are tied for the team-lead in wins this spring at 6-3. Senior Tracy Kuhle and sophomore Denise Azcui each come in at 5-4 while sophomore Katja Fevralev is 4-3 and junior Olivia Myers is 4-4.
In doubles play, the duo of Myers/Azcui lead the team this spring with a 4-1 record, all of which coming at No. 2. The team of Kuhle/Fevralev is 3-1, all coming at No. 3 and Eristavi/Lyubomirova are 2-1 together at No. 1.
Following the match with MSU, the Broncos will head to the state of Virginia to battle William & Mary on Sunday, March 5 at 11 a.m. and Old Dominion on Monday, March 6 at Noon.
