KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The eight-ranked Western Michigan hockey team will take time to honor the 2016 Mid-American Conference Championship football team and retiring WMU President Dr. John M. Dunn on Friday night.
Dr. Dunn will take part in a ceremonial puck drop prior to the start of the game and then have an on-ice recognition during the second intermission.
The football team, which went a perfect 13-0 on their way to a berth in the Cotton Bowl, will be recognized during the first intermission.
The Broncos welcome No. 13/12 North Dakota on Friday and Saturday. Friday's game can be seen live on CBS Sports Network and Saturday's on NCHC.tv.
