KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan men's tennis will host three home matches this weekend at West Hills Athletic Club, welcoming in B1G Michigan State on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Noon along with Valpo (1 p.m.) and Wayne State (6:30 p.m.) on Sunday, Feb. 12.

The Broncos are coming into the weekend at 3-2 overall and went 1-1 last weekend in Tennessee, falling to Vanderbilt and topping Middle Tennessee State. The Spartans will come in at 4-3 overall, the Crusaders are 3-1 and the Warriors are 0-1, but have a match on Saturday.
Freshman No. 1 player Kennosuke Nouchi is coming in at 12-5 overall and 4-3 this spring; he was just named the MAC Singles Player of the Week. Freshman Jannik Opitz comes in leading the team in wins at 16-4 while senior Matt Hamilton, sophomore Matej Svjetlicic and sophomore Eric Olivarez are all tied with five wins this spring.
In doubles, the duo of Hamilton/Opitz were named the MAC Doubles Team of the Week after going 2-0 last weekend in their first action together of the season. The duo of Billy Heckman/Nick Schnobel lead the team in wins with a 10-5 overall record and are 3-3 this spring.
