SNEAK PEAK AT THE BRONCOS
With an overall record of 7-5, the Broncos are riding a three-game win streak after defeating Detroit Mercy, Kentucky State and Goshen College. Western Michigan has won five of its last six contests with four of those wins coming by double digits. During the six-game stretch, the Brown and Gold have outscored their opponents 481-329 while shooting 45.4 percent from the field.

MAC OPENER
With Bowling Green coming to visit, it officially opens the 2017-18 Mid-American Conference season, where the Broncos were picked to finish fourth in the MAC West. Western Michigan is 3-2 in MAC openers under head coach Shane Clipfell, who has a career MAC record of 53-53.

LOOKING AHEAD
Following Saturday's contest, the Broncos hit the road next week traveling to MAC East leader Buffalo on Wednesday, Jan. 3 for a 7 p.m. tipoff before heading into Kent, Ohio, to face Kent State on Saturday, Jan. 6 at 4:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Broncos won their third consecutive game on Tuesday, Dec. 19, giving WMU head coach Shane Clipfell his 100th career victory as the Brown and Gold defeated Goshen College, 87-36. Three players scored in double figures for the third straight game, highlighted by junior Breanna Mobley's game-high 22 points with eight rebounds.

POST UNIT
The frontcourt, also known as the "Post Unit" by the team, has been dominating this season, as Breanna Mobley leads the team at 16.0 points per game and Marley Hill is second at 10.8 per game. The two are also first and second on the team in rebounding, as Mobley leads the way with 8.5 and Hill is at 5.7.

BREAKING RECORDS
After the 49-point victory back on Tuesday, Dec. 19 over Goshen College is tied for the third largest margin of victory in WMU program history and is the second time this season the squad delivered a 49-point win. The last time a Broncos squad also gave up 36 points or fewer occurred during the 2011-12 season under head coach Tasha McDowell as WMU defeated Southeast Missouri State, 67-34.

HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
Western Michigan is 47-26 when playing at University Arena under head coach Shane Clipfell, including an impressive 12-2 record in the 2014-15 season. Clipfell's team has never finished with a below .500 home record in five seasons. Clipfell and his squad are also 6-0 in home openers. The Broncos have opened up this season with a perfect 4-0 home non-conference record, the third time under Clipfell that WMU finished undefeated at home in the non-conference season.

The Broncos and the Falcons first met in 1977, with this being the 65th meeting between the two. Although the Falcons lead the all-time series 35-29, the Broncos have owned the recent history, winning the last six meetings including both games by double figures last season.

FALCONS SCOUTING REPORT
Bowling Green, who is coached by sixth year head coach Jennifer Roos, enters Saturday's game 8-3 overall and are coming off a 75-51 loss at Cincinnati. Bowling Green has four players who are averaging in double figures, led by Carly Santoro with 14.7 points per game and 10.4 rebounds per game. Sophomore Andrea Cecil comes into the game averaging 21.0 points and 9.0 rebounds for the Falcons in the last two games. The guard/forward was also named MAC East Division Player of the Week.
