"I think we made some great strides from the start of the fall until the end," commented WMU head coach
Ryan Tomlinson. "We got better in some areas but we still have some work to do before the spring. We competed very well in singles this weekend as well."
In the final day of the Bronco Super Challenge, play consisted of just one round of singles. WMU picked up wins from junior
Melina Lyubomirova, sophomore
Gabriela Slavova and freshmen
Valeria Riegraf and
Jeryn Jack.
Slavova ends the fall on a three-game winning streak and leads the team with five wins on a 5-4 record. Junior
Denise Azcui and Jack follow behind with four singles wins on the season. Lyubomirova went 2-1 this weekend to improve her record to 3-5 while the junior also is 5-5 in doubles this fall with two different partners.
The Broncos will take a couple months off from competition, returning to action on January 13 with a pair of home matches against Oakland and Valparaiso.
