KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team has just one more day remaining in the fall season after the Broncos concluded day two of the Bronco Super Challenge on Saturday. WMU finished with a 3-3 record in singles and a 1-5 record in doubles.Â

Saturday consisted of two rounds of doubles in the morning with a round of singles in the afternoon. Junior
Denise Azcui notched a singles win today, improving her overall record this season to 4-2, leading all Broncos. The Bloomington, Ind. native is also riding a two-game winning streak heading into the final day of competition.
In doubles play, the Broncos' lone win came from junior

Jeryn Jack. The pair dropped their first match of the season together in the first round this morning before they defeated Cleveland State's Lenoan/Perin (6-2) in the Kuhle Flight. Together the two are 2-1 this weekend and overall. Lyubomirova leads the Broncos with five doubles wins on the season with two different partners.
The three singles victories today came from Azcui, Lyubomirova and sophomore
Gabriela Slavova. After Saturday, the Broncos have a combined 6-6 singles record this weekend. In the Brown Flight Lyubomirova battled her way in a tough three-set match, taking the tie-breaker score 7-4 as the junior defeated Indiana's Zazarotnaya. After Slavova's win, the sophomore is 2-0 this weekend and 4-4 overall heading into tomorrow.
The final day of the weekend and the fall season, will take place tomorrow at West Hills Athletic Club with one round of singles starting at 9 a.m. The Broncos officially kickoff their spring season on Saturday, Jan. 13 as they host Oakland and Valparaiso inside West Hills, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
