LOOK AT LAST WEEK
The Broncos took down Mid-American Conference newcomer SIU-Edwardsville 1-0 in WMU's only game of the week. The game-winning goal came from junior defender
Ben Thornton in the 21
st minute. The goal was assisted by redshirt junior
Tommy Clark his eighth of the year. It was Thornton's third goal on the season.

REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS
With the victory against SIU-Edwardsville the Broncos clinched their first MAC Regular Season Championship in school history. Akron had previously won the MAC regular season championship every year since 2005, a 12-year streak. Western Michigan earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament which will be held at the WMU Soccer Complex. The semifinals of the tournament will take place on Friday, Nov. 10 beginning at 11 a.m. and the championship game will be on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 1:00 p.m. Â

RECORD BOOKS
The Broncos have had a season full of new records. WMU set a new program record for wins in a season after defeating West Virginia, the previous record was 12 set by 1988 and 2003 teams. NATIONAL AWARDS

Ben Thornton was named to the
TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week earlier this week. Thornton became the fifth Bronco this season to earn this honor. Five Broncos have been awarded a total of 13 conference and national awards this season.

NATIONALLY RANKED
WMU's No. 5 United Soccer Coaches ranking is the highest among MAC schools and is the highest in program history. The Broncos have been ranked in the top-25 for seven straight weeks. Of those seven weeks WMU has been ranked inside the top-10 for four of them.

SCOUTING BOWLING GREEN
The Falcons are entering the game with a 7-8-1 overall record and a 1-2-1 MAC record. BGSU currently holds the last spot in the conference tournament with the fourth seed. The Falcons were ranked as high as No. 19 in the country this season after a hot start. Leading the Falcons in points is Chris Brennan with 14 off five goals and four assists. Tate Robertson is right behind with 11 points off two goals and seven assists. In goal for BGSU is Anthony Mwembia who has seven shutouts on the year. Mwembia is allowing 1.04 goals per game with a .785 save percentage. Bowling Green takes 11.4 shots per game with .448 of those landing on goal. The Falcons average 1.25 goals per game.

ALL-TIME SERIES
In the overall series, BG leads WMU 13-27-3, in the last five home matches WMU is 4-1. WMU has not lost to BGSU at home since 2006. Last season's game ended in a 1-1 tie at BGSU. Â
