Jarvion Franklin Named MAC West Offensive POTW

CLEVELAND, Ohio- Western Michigan senior running back Jarvion Franklin (Tinley Park, Ill.) has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week. Franklin had four touchdowns and 176 yards on 37 carries in the Broncos' historic 71-68 7-OT victory at Buffalo.

Franklin ran for 12 yards and spun off a defender to score the game's winning touchdown in the 71-68 victory. The game set a record for most points scored in FBS history and tied for the most overtimes ever.

Franklin had just four yards rushing at the half, but was the Broncos' go-to on offense late in the game. He accounted for three of Western Michigan's touchdowns in extra play, scoring all three on the ground, and had 102 yards of the Broncos' 163 total yards in overtime. He also had a 20-yard receiving touchdown in the third quarter.

 Franklin's four touchdowns in the game gave him 51 overall career touchdowns. It was Franklin's second 100-yard rushing game of the season. He additionally surpassed 4,000 career rushing yards, becoming just the third Bronco ever to reach the milestone.
