"This weekend is another opportunity to get better," commented WMU assistant coach
Alexis Casati. "The best thing about fall tournaments is getting to practice how we compete for our spring season, and that's exactly what we're looking to do this weekend."
The invitational begins on Friday at 9 a.m. at the Edwardsville YMCA with five compass draws for singles and three for doubles. Friday will consist of two rounds of doubles followed by one round of singles. Other competitors this weekend include Central Arkansas, IUPUI, Milwaukee, SIUE, Southeast Missouri and Wright State.
In the short fall season, Slavova leads the Broncos into the weekend coming off a singles win at the Hoosier Classic against Mid-American Conference foe Eastern Michigan's Renu Sharma (6-4, 6-0). Jack also posted a win at the Hoosier Classic against Indiana's Pauline Jahren. The two are looking to pick up their first doubles win after dropping their lone match together against Eastern Michigan's Andrea Martinosvska and Anna Vleva. Reigraf looks to pick up her first win of the season at the tournament.
Following the weekend, the Broncos end the fall season playing host to the Bronco Super Challenge on Nov. 3 & 4 at the West Hills Athletic Club.
