LOOK AT LAST WEEK
The Broncos were able to add two more victories last week. WMU handled Green Bay 3-0 with a pair of goals from senior midfielder Brandon Bye and a goal from junior midfielder Kosti Moni. WMU won in overtime against No. 15 West Virginia 1-0 with the game-winning goal coming from Bye.

RECORD BREAKING
The win against West Virginia was WMU's 13th of the season, setting a new program record for victories in a season. The 1988 and 2003 teams each won 12 games. The Broncos have recorded 10 shutouts this year which is second in school history (record is 12). Redshirt senior goalkeeper Drew Shepherd set a few records of his own during the victory. Shepherd broke the record for victories in a season with 12, tied the school record for shutouts in a year with nine and set a new school record with 25 career shutouts. Matt Borkowski's previous career shutout record of 24 was set back in 1991. Bye's goal against West Virginia gave him 11 on the year which is the most by a Bronco in a single season since 2009. Also, Bye's seven career game-winning goals ties for third most in school history (record is nine, set by Tom Oatley in 2007).

NATIONAL AWARDS
Senior Brandon Bye was named to the TopDrawerSoccer and College Soccer News National Teams of the Week, Mid-American Conference Player of the Week and MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Bye has earned MAC Player of the Week honors twice this season. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Elijah Michaels is the other Bronco this season to grace MAC Player of the Week honors. Four Broncos  have been awarded a total of 12 conference and national awards this season.

NATIONALLY RANKED
WMU's No. 6 United Soccer Coaches ranking is the highest among MAC schools and is the highest in program history. The Broncos have been ranked in the top-25 for six straight weeks. Of those six weeks WMU has been ranked inside the top-10 for three of them.

LOOKING TOWARD THE POSTSEASON
The Broncos are in first place in the MAC with a 3-0-0 record heading into their last two games of the regular season. WMU needs to win one game to clinch the regular season championship, which would be its first ever in school history. WMU has one tournament championship, coming in 2003. A regular season championship this season would also make WMU the No. 1 seed and give the Broncos hosting rights for this year's MAC Tournament. Coming into this season, Akron has won the MAC regular season championship every year since 2005, a 12-year streak.

STATISTICAL ADVANTAGE
Several Bronco players are ranked in the top-25 in the country in statistical categories. Senior forward Jay McIntosh is ranked 9th in total assists and 22nd in assists per game. Bye is ranked 8th in game-winning goals, 12th in goals per game, 2nd in shots per game, 2nd in shots on goal per game, 9th in total goals and 7th in total points. Redshirt junior Tommy Clark is 22nd in total assists. Redshirt senior goalkeeper Drew Shepherd is 17th in goals allowed average and 4th in shutouts. Western Michigan as a team are also ranked in the top-20 in the country in several categories.
