Kalamazoo, Mich.- The Western Michigan baseball program is hosting an Advanced Camp Series and Comprehensive Youth Camp on Sunday, Dec. 17
th and a Prospect Camp on Saturday, Feb. 10
th.
WMU Advanced Camp and Prospect Camp both provide a tremendous opportunity to receive vital fundamental instruction and the opportunity be evaluated by the Western Michigan coaching staff. The camp is designed for the serious individual who desires to play at the highest level of collegiate baseball.
WMU youth camps are for ages 7-12, the camp is intended to teach the basic fundamentals of baseball that include throwing, hitting, fielding and base running. The camp will be led by current WMU head coach
Billy Gernon, who managed WMU's first Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament Championship in 2016.
The camps will take place in WMU's state of the art, $22 million Seelye Indoor Center, which includes six hydraulic cages and multiple indoor pitching mounds. The location for the Seelye Center is at Stadium Drive and W. Main Street in Kalamazoo right next to the Broncos football stadium, Waldo Stadium.
