MOVIN' ON UP
After beating Kent State and Ohio over the weekend,  Western Michigan (14-7, 7-3 MAC) moved into first place in the MAC West standings, ahead of Ball State (6-4). The Broncos are now 7-0 at University Arena and 4-0 at home in MAC games this season. The last time WMU started out 7-0 at home was in the 2012 season. That year the Broncos finished 8-0 at University Arena and ended up earning an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament.

3-1
Through 10 MAC matches this season Western Michigan, win or lose, has had every score line finish at 3-1.  The Broncos have not been able to sweep MAC opponents, but have not been swept in conference play.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
The last time these two teams met, the Broncos came away with a 3-1 win on Sept. 21 in the MAC-opener for both teams. At that point NIU had just one win on the season, but the young Huskies have steadily improved in MAC play and are now 5-5 in conference. NIU has wins over Central Michigan, Toledo, Ball State, Akron and Kent State. NIU is 3-6 at home this season.

Kaylee Martin leads Northern Illinois' attack, averaging 3.65 kills per set. Meg Wolowicz sits just behind her with 2.48 kills per set. Chandler Kinley has been the main setter this season, averaging 7.91 assists per set. Libero Anna Brereton leads the team with 4.21 digs per set, followed by Martin at 2.13 and Kinley at 2.11. Wolowicz averages 0.99 blocks per set with 91 total blocks on 14 solos and 77 assists.
