MAC Announces Largest National Basketball TV Schedule in Conference History

CLEVELAND, Ohio.   The Mid-American Conference announced the largest national basketball television schedule in conference history on Thursday. The extensive package features coverage of 28 MAC basketball contests that will be telecasted nationally on linear platforms in 2017-18.

The national package includes games that will be aired on ESPN2, ESPNU & CBS Sports Network (CBSSN).

Western Michigan men's basketball will be a part of two nationally televised games with the first coming on Tuesday, Jan. 19 when the Broncos host Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU.

The Broncos will then play a road contest against Ball State on Friday, Feb. 23 that can be seen on ESPN2 at 9:00 p.m.

For the second consecutive year, the MAC Men's Basketball Semifinal games as well as the MAC Women's Basketball Tournament Championship Game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network. The Men's Basketball Championship game will air live on Saturday, March 10th at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.

In addition, all 12 MAC institutions will be participating in the league's school content production program with ESPN. Each institution will provide a minimum of 35 athletic events as part of the agreement. Those games will appear exclusively on ESPN3.
