Hockey Visits Bronson Children's Hospital

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Members of the Western Michigan hockey team used some of their free time during their bye week last week to get out in the community and deliver teddy bears to the Bronson Children's hospital.

Thanks to the generosity of the WMU hockey fans in previous years' Teddy Bear toss games, senior Aaron Hadley, juniors Scott Modlenhauer and Neal Goff and freshmen Lawton Courtnall and Dawson DiPietro were able to hand out dozens of stuffed animals to children in need.

The Broncos are back in action this weekend hosting No. 3 Denver in a matchup between two of the top four teams in the National College Hockey Conference standings. Friday's game begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on American Sports Network. Saturday's game is at 7 p.m. and can be seen live on NCHC.tv. Tickets are available by calling 1-888-4-WMUTIX and online at wmubroncos.com/tickets.
