DEKALB, Ill. – The Western Michigan gymnastics team began its 2017 season on Sunday in a quad meet against Northern Illinois, Iowa and Lindenwood in DeKalb, Ill. The Broncos placed third with a total of 193.250.
"We went into this first meet of the season looking to gain experience and get feedback from the judges," head coach
Penny Jernigan said. "Bars and beam showed great potential. We made some uncharacteristic mistakes on vault and floor, but nothing we can't get back in the gym and correct right away. It's still very early."
Senior
Anna Corbett won the team's first individual title of the season, doing so on the vault with a score of 9.775. Last year, Corbett won the vault title in each of her first four meets on the season.
Sophomore

Junior
