NINE STRAIGHT
The Broncos have won their past nine games dating back to Nov. 25, with four coming on the road, four at home and one at a neutral site. Â Eight of the past nine wins have come by double-figures, including each of the last six. The nine-game winning streak is the highest in
Shane Clipfell's career and the highest at WMU since the 1994-95 season, where the team also won nine straight games. WMU is now chasing a 10-game winning streak, which hasn't been done by Western Michigan since 1986-87 where the team won 11 straight games. With the winning streak, the Broncos have now made their way into the College Insider Mid-Major Top-25 poll, where they are currently receiving votes. WMU has the longest winning streak in the MAC and is tied for the 11th longest in the nation.Â
INSIDE THE STREAK
During the Broncos nine-game winning streak, the team has outscored opponents by a margin of 13.9 points and outrebounded opponents by 9.1 a game. Redshirt junior
Marley Hill has led the way for the Broncos during the winning streak, scoring 17.8 points per game while sophomore
Breanna Mobley is at 15.0 and sophomore
Deja Wimby has scored 10.3.  As a team, WMU has a higher field goal percentage, free-throw percentage, assist-turnover ratio and averages more blocks  and steals per game than their opponents in the last nine games.Â
MOBLEY BEING MOBLEY
Ever since sophomore forward
Breanna Mobley found her way into the starting lineup late last season, she has been a double-double threat each and ever game. The Lansing, Mich., native has recorded 12 double-doubles in 27 career starts, including six coming this season. Last game out against Akron, Mobley finished with a game-high 16 rebounds including 10 coming on the offensive glass. She also poured in 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting. She has scored in double-figures in seven of the last eight games and grabbed 10+ rebounds in six of the last eight games. She was named the College Sports Madness MAC Player of the Week for the second time this season following her stellar performance against Akron.Â
THE MATCHUP
The Redhawks own the series lead 33-29, with the Broncos, but WMU has won each of the last five meetings by 8+ points each time. Last season, the Broncos came away with an 80-66 win in Kalamazoo on Jan. 16, 2016. The Broncos are 10-20 when traveling to Oxford, Ohio to face Miami.Â
REDHAWKS SCOUTING REPORT
Miami enters Wednesday's contest 6-8 overall and 0-1 in the MAC after a 71-45 loss to Buffalo last time out. The Redhawks have traded wins and losses in their last four games and are 2-3 at home this season. The team is led by Lauren Dickerson, who leads the team in scoring (15.1 ppg), 3-pointers made, assists and steals. The Redhawks have eight players who average between 6.6 and 4.1 points per game. Miami has faced two of the same opponents the Broncos have seen this season, as the Redhawks came away with wins against Fort Wayne and Eastern Kentucky, same as WMU.Â
