It was all Broncos on Saturday afternoon at the West Hills Athletic Club. Western Michigan began the day winning the doubles point including a Denise Azcui/Katja Fevralev win that improves their record to 4-1 this season.
WMU didn't lose a single set in singles, as Tracy Kuhle, Melina Lyubomirova, Azcui, Barbare Eristavi, Fevralev and Gabriela Slavova all earned wins in singles. Eristavi, the senior, improved to a team-best 14-3 after the win on Saturday.
"We had a great week of practice to fix and work on some things," head coach Ryan Tomlinson said. "We pride ourselves on playing a tough schedule. After losing to two tough teams last weekend it was great to bounce back and play well. We have some things to keep getting better at. We still need to play better doubles, we will get back at it this week."
The Broncos will head to Cleveland State next time out, facing the Vikings on Friday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m. before returning home to host UIC on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m.
