The Broncos are currently in a stretch where the team faces five straight opponents who boast winning overall records, with Ohio being the first. The Broncos rolled through the end of the nonconference season into the beginning of MAC play, including a 10-game winning streak. It was  the Broncos' longest winning streak (10 games) since the 1986-87 season. Following the game vs. Buffalo, the Broncos will have a much needed bye week before heading to MAC West leader Northern Illinois on Saturday, Feb. 4.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
Western Michigan is 40-23 when playing at University Arena under head coach
Shane Clipfell, including an impressive 12-2 record in the 2014-15 season. Clipfell's team has never finished with a below .500 home record in four seasons. In 2015-16, the Broncos opened with a perfect 7-0 record at home and finished the home season with a 94-52 Â win over Northern Illinois in the opening round of the MAC Tournament, the largest win in the MAC Tournament in school history. The Broncos are 6-2 at home this season, with one loss coming in overtime to No. 21 Michigan State.

Sophomore forward
Breanna Mobley has recorded nine double-doubles this season, the second most in the MAC. In MAC play this season, Mobley is 11th in scoring (15.6 ppg), tied for first in rebounding (11.4) and is also tied for first in field goal percentage (.586). Last time out against Ohio, Mobley finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds while going 8-for-10 from the floor.Â

The Broncos lead the MAC in steals at 10.5 per game, while sophomore
Deja Wimby is leading the charge at 3.4 per game in conference play, which is also tops in the MAC. Senior
Meredith Shipman is second in the league at 3.0 steals per game. Wimby had a career-high seven steals two games ago at Akron. Wimby and Shipman have combined for 19 games where at least one of the players had three or more steals.Â
THE MATCHUP
The Broncos and Bulls first met in 1999, with this being the 22nd meeting between the two. The Broncos own a 7-2 advantage when playing at home and won the team's only meeting last season in Buffalo, 92-78. It was the highest offensive output since early in the 2013-14 season.Â
BULLS SCOUTING REPORT
Buffalo, who is coached by fifth year head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, enters this game 14-5 overall and 4-4 in the MAC, coming in off a home loss to MAC West leading Ball State. The Bulls are 5-3 on the road this season and own the second highest RPI (72nd) in the MAC behind Ohio. The team is led by senior JoAnna Smith, who scores 15.8 ppg and is tied for third in 3-pointers made. Junior Stephanie Reid comes in averaging 8.9 points and is leading conference during MAC play at 8.6 assists per game.
