The Broncos are coming off a weekend against two tough opponents, dropping both matches to Indiana and Notre Dame with both coming on the road. This will be the fourth meeting all-time between the Broncos and Jaguars, with WMU owning a 3-0 advantage.
For us to bounce back this week we have to control what we can control. We have to get back to playing high percentage tennis," head coach Ryan Tomlinson said. "I'm hoping to see a resilient team this weekend. Good teams bounce back and that's what I am expecting to see."
Senior Barbare Eristavi comes in as the team's leader in wins at 13-3 overall while sophomore Denise Azcui is 12-4 this season. In doubles play, senior Tracy Kuhle/sophomore Melina Lyubomirova, the team's No. 1 duo, will enter at 7-5 while Azcui/junior Olivia Myers come in at 6-2 overall and are 3-1 in the spring season. Eristavi/freshman Gabriela Slavova are a perfect 5-0 this season and 1-0 together in the spring.
Following the match with the Jaguars, the Broncos will head to Cleveland State on Friday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m. and then return home to face UIC on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m.
