Lauren Sinacola announce the 2017 Bronco spring exhibition schedule.

WMU will play a five-game schedule to give the squad advanced work for the 2017 fall season. Â

"This spring season is set up to be competitive," commented Sinacola. "We have a challenging list of teams we will be playing and we are excited to get our players back into that competitive environment. There will be a lot of opportunities for our younger players to grow and gain experience in these spring games."

The Broncos begin their spring season at home welcoming Ferris State on Sunday, March 19 inside the Seelye Indoor Center. The Bulldogs finished the fall season falling in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals with an overall 6-8-4 record.

Grand Valley State, the NCAA DII Runner-Up, comes to Kalamazoo on Sunday, March 26. The Broncos will host the Lakers at Kalamazoo College Athletic Complex.

Western Michigan concludes its final three exhibition games on the road with tough matches at Michigan (April 2), at Oakland (April 8) at the Ultimate Soccer Arena and at Michigan State (April 15).

The Wolverines advanced to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals for the second straight season while posting their fifth straight 10-win season, finishing 10-5-5 overall in the fall. Michigan State highlighted its season posting an upset over No. 16 Penn State at home on Oct. 22, 2016, finishing 10
th overall in the B1G. Oakland and Western Michigan squared off in the regular season with the Broncos taking a 1-0 victory at Oakland.
