Jamauri Bogan and
Robert Spillane have each been named co-MAC West Players of the Week after the Broncos' 34-10 win over Illinois on Saturday. It marked the first time in program history the Broncos have beaten two B1G opponents in the same season.
Bogan ran for 189 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday. For Bogan it was the fourth straight game he has rushed for over 100 yards dating back to last year, and the third time in his career he has gone over 150 yards. His two touchdowns gave him 20 for his career, putting him in a tie for 10
th place all-time at Western Michigan. Bogan carried the rock 24 times, setting a new career high, one more than his previous high of 23 set last season at fellow B1G opponent Ohio State.
Spillane earned his second MAC West Player of the Week honor this season, finishing with a career-high 11 tackles and a tackle for loss. He was part of a defense which held Illinois to just three yards rushing on 15 carries. He also had a tackle for loss along with his first career interception which he returned for 26 yards
