KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan has been voted as the favorite to win the West Division of the Mid-American Conference, the league announced on Monday. Earlier this summer, the Broncos were picked to win both the West and the MAC Championship game by the league's media.

The Broncos earned a share of the MAC West title last season for the first time since 2000 and return all-conference players Zach Terrell, Corey Davis, Jamauri Bogan, Taylor Moton, Darius Phillips and Asantay Brown.

The team kicks off the 2016 season on Saturday at noon against Northwestern.
