KALAMAZOO, Mich. – For the fifth straight week the Western Michigan hockey team has earned votes in both national polls, this time falling just shy of a national ranking in the United States College Hockey Online Poll.
The Broncos (4-2-1, 2-2-0 NCHC) are fresh off a sweep of Miami and earned 52 points in the USCHO.com poll, placing them unofficially at 21st. WMU sits 20 points behind No. 20 Lake Superior State. In the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll Western Michigan earned five points, ranking them unofficially at 22nd.
The Broncos are in action this weekend at the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation, Minnesota-Duluth on Friday and Saturday at 9:07 p.m. Both games can be heard live on the Bronco Radio Network and watched online at NCHC.tv.
