COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Michigan sophomore forward Matheson Iacopelli has been named National Collegiate Hockey Conference Bauer Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Air Force over the weekend.

Iacopelli totaled four points as the Broncos tied and beat the Falcons. In Friday's 5-5 tie he tallied two assists on the first two goals of the game for WMU. He also totaled six shots on goal. On Saturday he recorded his fourth multi-goal game of the season, scoring twice. The first broke a 1-1 tie in the second period and was the eventual game-winner. In the third period his 12th goal of the season pushed the lead to 3-1. The Chicago Blackhawks' draft pick is tied for second in the NCAA with 12 goals this season.

Western Michigan is off this week but welcomes St. Cloud State to Lawson Ice Arena when the team resumes play next Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Both games will be live on NCHC.tv and on the Bronco Radio Network. Tickets are available by calling 1-888-4-WMUTIX or online at wmubroncos.com.
