KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After splitting with No. 1 Minnesota-Duluth over the weekend, the Western Michigan hockey team has jumped into the USCHO.com poll at No. 18.

The Broncos are also receiving votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and just missed out on the top 15, unofficially placing 16th after 35 points.

Western Michigan's upcoming opponent for this weekend, Air Force, also received votes in the USCHO.com poll and come in unofficially at 24. This is the first appearance for the Broncos in the national rankings since earning the No. 19 spot in the USCHO.com poll back on March 17, 2014.

Saturday's game has been moved to an 8:05 p.m. puck drop to give fans more time to head over from Waldo Stadium after the nationally-televised game against Buffalo.
