Zach Terrell was named the Mid-American Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday. It is the second time this season he has been named MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week.
Terrell was 29-of-35 passing and accumulated a career-high 398 passing yards in No. 20 Western Michigan's 45-31 win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday. Terrell also threw for three touchdowns, giving him 83 for his career which puts him in a tie for most TD passes by an active QB in the country. Terrell is one TD pass away from passing Ben Roethlisberger for eighth on the all-time MAC touchdown career mark. For the season Terrell has 20 TDs and just one interception, the best TD-INT ratio for any starting quarterback in the country.
