EAST LANSING, Mich. – Junior
Olivia Myers went 2-0 in the ITA Midwest Regional Qualifying round on Thursday, putting herself one more win away from reaching the Main Draw which starts on Saturday.

Myers, who improved to 6-2 this season after both wins, defeated Heuer of Valparaiso 6-0, 6-0 to open the day and topped Radeva of Bowling Green 6-4, 6-1 in the second match. She will face the winner of the No. 7 seeded Tere-Apisah of Illinois State and Linden from Wisconsin at 9 a.m. on Friday morning. Sophomore
Katja Fevralev also competed on Thursday, but she fell in her only match of the day. Fevralev will be competing in the consolation round on Friday. Senior
Tracy Kuhle and sophomore
Melina Lyubomirova were each selected into the main draw already.
Also at the ITA Midwest Regional, two doubles teams of Kuhle/Lyubomirova and Myers/Fevralev will compete starting on Friday.
The rest of the WMU squad will be competing in the Indiana Regional, which will begin on Friday and run through Sunday.
