KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team will be splitting up and heading to two different tournaments this weekend, as some members will head to the ITA Midwest Regional in East Lansing, Mich., while the rest will compete in the Indiana Regional in Bloomington, Ind.

"We are always looking for quality matches in the Fall and these two tournaments give us that opportunity," head coach Ryan Tomlinson said. "We are looking to improve tournament to tournament this Fall in preparation for our dual match season. We should see great tennis at both places this weekend."
At the ITA Midwest Regional hosted by Michigan State, the Broncos will be represented by four individuals in senior Tracy Kuhle, junior Olivia Myers and sophomores Melina Lyubomirova and Katja Fevralev. Kuhle and Lyubomirova were each selected into the main draw, which starts on Saturday while Fevralev and Myers will each have to battle through the qualifying draw to make the main draw.
Also at the ITA Midwest Regional, two doubles teams of Kuhle/Lyubomirova and Myers/Fevralev will compete starting on Friday.
Representing WMU at the Indiana Regional is senior Barbare Eristavi, who has started this season a perfect 6-0, senior Meika Ashby, sophomore Denise Azcui and freshman Gabriela Slavova. There will be three rounds of singles and four rounds of doubles played at Indiana starting on Friday morning. Other teams competing include Indiana, Marquette, Miami, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Northwestern and Purdue.
