CLEVELAND, Ohio- Western Michigan senior midfielder Edu Jimenez was named Student-Athlete of the Week by the Mid-American Conference. Jimenez scored a goal and had an assist for the Broncos over two games this past week. An international student originally from Seville, Spain, Jimenez has excelled at Western Michigan where he is a team captain this season and carries a 3.95 GPA in finance.

This week's goal was his third of the season, while the assist was his 20th of his career, moving him into the top five all-time at WMU for career assists. The Broncos have not lost yet in conference play and are off to an 8-4-3 record this season.

WMU men's soccer is back in action Friday, Oct. 19, facing Buffalo on the road at 7 p.m.
