KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan quarterback
Zach Terrell has been named the Mid-American Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week following his performance in the No. 23 Broncos 45-30 win over Northern Illinois last Saturday.
Terrell was 18-of-24 for 327 yards and four total touchdowns, to give the Broncos their first 6-0 start since 1941. Terrell had three passing touchdowns along with a rushing TD in which he put a spin move on the defender to go up 45-30 in the fourth quarter. For the season Terrell is third in the country in quarterback efficiency with a mark of 186.9. He has 15 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. For his career, Terrell is third among active QBs with 9,961 passing yards, just 39 away from being the third player in Western Michigan history to eclipse the 10,000-yard mark.
He is currently pursuing his MBA and has a 4.0 GPA in his masters level classes. Terrell graduated with a bachelors degree in finance last December and had a 3.66 GPA during his undergrad career.
